Dreams can be reached with MLM!

Have you ever had a dream?

What is your dream?

Have you got it written down?

Have you reached your dreams?

Have you given up on your dreams?

When you joined your MLM company you had vision, a dream and you could see the bigger picture. I know we all have dreams and goals an d just before we are able to reach them we give up on thinking they are attainable. Have you given up on your dreams because a loved one did not believe in you or you have worked so hard but not gotten very far? If so you are not alone. There are thousands of others out there today going through the same thing.

Three are different types of dreamers in this world.

1. Dream Stealers (well we all know who they are)

2. Day Dreamers, they just day dream about what they want without action.

3. Dreamers who write down their dreams which is only about 3% of the population. Some of these dreamers look at their dreams every once in a while, but there are other dreamers that look at their dreams every single day.

What kind of a dreamer are you?

Your dreams can still be reached with the right guidance and training. Remember the big picture, remember why you decided to build a MLM Company! As you move forward are you being trained correctly? Are you being trained at all? Is you sponsor there to help you and guide you? Or have they disappeared, no calls being returned your emails not being answered?

What I would like you to do is sit back and focus on that dream and what it will feel like to have your dream come true. Find a quiet place and then close your eyes and focus. If your dream has to do with a vehicle, what color, what type, feel what it will be like to start it up for the first time, how fast you can go, how good you will look driving it. This is just an example. It could be buying your dream home, buying your dream cottage or camp, or being financially free. What ever your dream is put yourself in the present tense with it.

Once you have done that and you still want to move forward and reach your dreams I am here to help you if you would like.

I work with some amazing people and we are all here to help each and everyone who wants it. But the only thing you need to know is that you do need to be coachable.

Raising The Red Flags

Check out this picture. From the camera angle do you have any trouble seeing some red flags. From the photographed persons angle, maybe he could not see those red flags. The closer he looks the more likely it is that he will notice that he is in trouble. He should be more than just a little concerned.

The California Attorney’s General office raised the red flags on YTB, aka Your Travel Biz, recently with a 25 million dollar law suit. Now mlmwatchdog reports that a 100 million dollar class action law suit has been filed by a St. Louis legal firm and that the Illinois AG is working with the California AG.

The red flags were being rasised on YTB long ago. There is no reason anyone should be caught off guard. Check out this link. Reality Check

Critical thinking network marketers that I know had no problem seeing the red flags right away years ago.

Possibly even YTB realized their fate prior to the California AG’s law suit, as they notified the public of plans to change from network marketing to a franchise system. Major red flag announcement.

What should be of concern to the network marketing community is the bad light that is put on us when these situations arise. The public and even many network marketers do not understand that there is no such thing as an illegal network marketing pay plan. If a pay plan is illegal, then it is not network marketing. It is only an illegal pay plan disguised as a network marketing pay plan.

From one angle, we are happy to see the government take action. But on the other hand, people associate them with us. Even worse, there are many more still in business.

Can people make money in these illegal plans? Yes, and some people will make huge amounts of money. But many will lose, and the longer one is allowed to exist, the more people will lose and the worse they make the network marketing industry look. What if the government just let them be? They typically do for a while. It takes time and money to investigate and prepare for a law suit.

53 Million Dollars

What do we have here. A ponzi scheme? An illegal pyramid? Any wrong doing at all?

On August 1st, reports came in that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia had frozen all assets of Ad Surf Daily, also known on the internet as ASD.

No charges have been filed. But likely only because the investigation is still in progress.

Read all about it in the local newspaper’s internet site. Hopefully this site will be available at this link for a while. If not, just do a google search.

Why did this happen so quickly? We have seen programs almost identical to this one that lasted years. This seems to have been around only a few months. I suspect it had to do with the rapid growth. As in $53,000,000 seized by the secret service.

Do people join what often turns out to be a scam because they don’t know better or because they are just greedy?

YTB is a “Gigantic Pyramid Scheme” says California AG

I have been teaching people how to avoid pyramid schemes and scams for years. You only need to know some basics to avoid these pyramid schemes and scams. It’s like having your own crystal ball.

“YourTravelBiz.com operates a gigantic pyramid scheme that is immensely profitable to a few individuals on top and a complete rip-off for most everyone else,” Attorney General Brown said. “Today’s lawsuit seeks to shut down the company’s unlawful operation before more people are exploited by the scam.”

Knowledgeable people in the network marketing industry immediately reported, YTB, or Your Travel Biz, as being a pyramid when they first looked at the program. The same was true of Burnlounge, another publicly traded illegal pyramid. When they were sued, they terminated the MLM program within days in hopes of surviving. What should be of concern to many people, is that the compensation plan which is the reason the company is being called an illegal pyramid scheme is very similar to many other network marketing companies. If you look at companies with products or services with a very low margin of profit, you will likely see a similar compensation plan.

So if you are in or planning to join a program, be sure to check it out. Types of companies with low profit margin products and services using a compensation plan that pays mostly for recruiting of people include many MLM travel companies, MLM electric service companies and technology based companies such as long distance service.

The bigger each of these companies get, the more people get scammed. The more people that get scammed, the more complaints come into a state’s Attorney’s General office. The more complaints, the more likely it is that the AG will investigate. With a presidential election year in progress, fewer complaints are needed to catch the attention of the AG’s.

I’m sorry. I mean to say…… Electronic Income Reducer.

Almost all of us have it. What we are really looking for is MLM Success. We want and need that proven duplicable MLM system. We want and need that like minded successful network marketing mastermind group.

But many allow the electronic income reducer to get in our way.

You know, the idiot box, the boob tube, the tube, the TV, the television set.

First, this electronic income reducer, is one of the biggest time wasters we experience. The one thing that can not be replaced. When we use time, it’s gone for good. Hope you used it wisely. We don’t even know how much of it we have left.

Second, this electronic income reducer, can create our beliefs. That’s right. Much of what we believe comes from our sources of influence. The news can influence us greatly. Advertising can influence us. Why else would they keep advertising to us if they were not successful at influencing us?

I highly suggest to everyone in network marketing, that they go on a Mental Cleanse. On this Mental Cleanse you would eliminate the TV, the radio, the newspaper, and negative people. You add reading and studying a good book like, “Think and Grow Rich”. You add a mastermind group and say your self talk at least 100 times per day. And, be careful of your computer use.

It’s Later Than You Think

This week we lost one of our own. Our good friend Ken Huggins passed suddenly this week.

Ken was a good man, friend to all and a great asset to our team.

On Thursdays’ at 3pm EST, while Penny and I were doing our training call, Ken was always there making sure the conference bridge was working properly. He posted information about our call to the web site so everyone would no what our training would be about.

Always positive, never a bad word to say about anyone, and always looking for ways to help the team. Everyone was Ken’s friend.

Team mates don’t get any better than Ken. Ken is the perfect example of the kind of people drawn to Mentoring For Free, a mentor with a servant’s heart.

The picture was taken on our team cruise last February in the Caribbean. We will miss you Ken.

It’s later than you think.

DODGING THE HEAT?

How important is it to put yourself in the best possible position for MLM Success? How important is it to choose a 5 Pillars MLM company to build? What is the value of experienced MLM management with integrity?

YTB is in the news again. They always do a great job of putting a positive spin to distributors on negative news. Can they do it again.

On July 15, 2008, Mr. Scott Tomer, Chief Executive Officer of YTB International, Inc. (the “Company”), announced that the Company is contemplating the replacement of its referring travel agent (”RTA”) business model with the implementation of a franchise operating system, potentially in 2009.

From Rod Cook and his MLM Watchdog site, we get more news on YTB. I am just going to send you to his site and let him show your what is going on and let him comment. After all he is well respected in MLM and loves to bring information to the people. Rod exposes MLM companies doing wrong. He exposes scams. But he is not one sided. He backs up companies being unfairly attacked.

By choosing a 5 Pillar company upfront you will almost always eliminate the kinds of news we are looking at today. Experienced MLM management with integrity would not be discussing the possibility of changing from a MLM business model to a franchise business model.

Experienced MLM management with integrity would not be dodging the heat as Rod puts it.

New Ground Floor MLM Opportunity

Everyday it seems there is a new ground floor MLM Opportunity announced. Find your direction to MLM success with this new one of a kind business opportunity. We have a patented advanced compensation plan, a product used by over 200 million people daily in the US alone. And with our proven duplicable MLM system, no one will be left behind because we do 95% of the work for you.

Sound familiar?

Today someone asks me to check into this new ground floor MLM opportunity for them. Where do all these gamblers come from? Don’t they know that the failure rate for new companies is around 95% during the first two years. Already this guy could be looking at only having one chance in 20 of making it to the third year with his business.

Oh, but not this new ground floor MLM opportunity. These guys have been around since 1999. They adopted the retail business model for their product. It didn’t work, but you know what, the MLM business model is what they should have gone with.

Here is what I found out in a few short minutes.

The website does not list any information about the owners or managers so we can see what kind of experience they have in MLM or don’t have.
They have a single category niche product. It failed in retail so now they want to go with MLM. They claim 200 million people use similar products daily in the US. Of course those products cost about one tenth to one twentieth the cost of this product. Looks like they described a different niche.
There is no compensation plan on the web site. All I know is that they use the MLM compensation plan model.
I checked out the product. I have seen it in the retail stores. Of course it is not there anymore. The price has gone way way up now. A package of the product is about $15. Similar products can be purchased retail for under $1.
But there is science behind their product. Yep, one ingredient makes it different than some of the competition. But there is already competition well established who use this one magic ingredient.
So I know nothing about the people running the company, or the compensation plan. But still I go to see what happens when I want to sign up. I have to agree to the terms and conditions. Guess what? By agreeing I am stating that I have read and understood the policies and procedures and the company’s compensation plan. They want me to lie right off the bat. Where are these items for me to read and understand.

There is more, but any of these things is reason not to look at this company seriously. Yet people will probably flock to it to get in on the ground floor MLM opportunity. They will not recognize how the company is spinning negatives into what looks like positives.

Sadly most will lose their money. Some will lose their trust in people and MLM. Some will feel their failure was all their fault.

But the first thing people should be doing is properly evaluating an opportunity. Before anything else, you must put yourself in the best possible position to achieve MLM success.

When you fall for a company with even a small amount of the kinds of problems listed above, you are reducing your chance to succeed.

It’s time to get educated.

Finding Your Kingpin

The Kingpin Strategy may be the key to unlocking your MLM Success.

Even when you have everything in place like the best MLM company, with the best MLM management, the best MLM compensation plan, the best MLM products, perfect timing, and a proven duplicable MLM system, there will still be logjams in your business.

Just as you are facing logjams that are blocking your Success in MLM, the lumber industry constantly deals with logjams as well. Briefly, the best way to move the logs from where they were cut, to the mill, may often be to float them down a nearby river.

In doing so, there are inevitably logjams that happen along the way. The lumber companies have learned that these logjams can be caused by a single log that gets stuck in a position to block the entire flow of the logs down the river.

This one log is called the kingpin. Move the kingpin, sometimes just a little, and you free up the entire logjam.

Your business can be the same way. One little thing can be the difference in whether your business is moving forward or not.

Your kingpin blocking the growth of your business may be difficult for you to see. That is a big reason for having mentors that can help you find your kingpin and help you move it.

Your kingpin may be something in your belief system. Or, maybe you are not getting enough personal growth. Maybe it’s just your lack of skills or lack of understanding how to do something properly.

And unfortunately many of us started out on the wrong foot by putting ourselves into a position with little hope of success. What did you miss. The proven duplicable MLM system is missed by many. Did you miss that one? Are you now trying to find out why the business is not working for you? Do you just need to find your kingpin or is it something larger?

A kingpin I see often is people with an “agenda” to get people into their company.

And many of you just read that and thought, “but isn’t that what I am supposed to do”. Cool, now you possibly just found your kingpin. If so, the next step is to figure out how to move it. So about now, you are probably thinking that it really would be a good idea to have a mentor to help me.

It’s not just a good idea. You have to have a mentor. Your team has to have a mentor. Are you going to mentor them? Then you better have a mentor and learn how to mentor others.
