Then most of those same people show their downline an MLM System that does not duplicate success.

You may need some examples of systems that are said to duplicate but do not.

Here is a good one. The friends and family list. The only thing duplicable about this duplicable MLM system is that anyone can make a list. But it usually gets worse. They call it training when they teach you to make your list. What! Who needs training to make a list of friends and family.

The friends and family list duplicates at about 3%. It always has. So you should say that it duplicates failure at a rate of about 97%. So if it duplicates failure, why does your upline ask you to do it? Because it works for them. Yes, it works for the upline, not for you. Your upline sees network marketing as a numbers game and you are just a number to them.

Your upline knows the odds are against you. What they hope is that you will sponsor one person before you quit. That way their never ending list of leads will continue. All they want to do is keep it going till one person gets sponsored with influence over their friends and family. That person may sponsor ten people and your upline just had the success they were after.

How does it feel to be just a number?

Here is another so called duplicable MLM system. Buy opportunity leads or genealogy lists. The difference here is that you went from warm market to cold market and you went from no targeting to somewhat targeted and now you are spending money. Drum Roll Please. And the failure rate is 99%. So where is the duplication.

Out of everyone I know in network marketing, I have met one person who could succeed buying leads. OK, it is a little hard to call this success. He built big. Made a bunch of money. But every business he built fell apart because no one could ever duplicate what he was doing buying and calling leads. Not one person duplicated him in five years.

Then there are the automated MLM systems. Catch one while it is new, maybe you have a chance. Five years ago these were the rage. Today, they don’t work. And when they do it is only when they are new so the people coming in a few months after launch have no success. The biggest problem is that no relationships get built. If you find the people you sponsor on the internet, they are exposed to hundreds of companies. You better get them off to a blazing start when they join you because they will leave soon for what looks like a better deal. The average seems to be about 2 months.

So where are all these so called proven duplicable MLM systems?

I was in network marketing for 25 years looking for one. I never saw duplication on a large scale from any of them. Very few people ever had success unless they looked at everyone as a number. If you jumped in and took off like a crazy man, then they worked with you. It wasn’t worth working with anyone that started slow. The chance that a slow starter would succeed was not good.

But with all of these non duplicable MLM systems, one thing always rang true. They all talked about the importance of duplication.

After 25 years in network marketing, I finally found a duplicable MLM system. Anyone can do it. I have watched people who had never sponsored anyone in all their years in MLM and now they sponsor people. I have seen people who did well in programs but could never get their team to sponsor people. Now they sponsor people who sponsor people who sponsor people. Because of Duplication.
