The Law of Receptivity

The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.

Now this law, I find that people have a really hard time accepting. We are so good at giving but it is hard to receive in return.

We all know and have been taught that giving is better than receiving and I know from my own experience that is how I feel.

But, receiving is the natural result of giving.

The Law of Authenticity

The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.


Reading this chapter and understanding it was a eye opener for me. So many people really do not act like themselves and they really just need to be genuine.

Debra Davenport discusses how she learned every single thing she could to be able to close a sale. But for one full year it never worked. She studied what she was taught, did what they said , followed everything by the book. But still nothing. Then one day when she decided to quite her real estate business she let go and was just herself. She just got to know her client, have fun just talking and getting to know each other.

Then yes that day she had her first sale. First of many to come. But it was not till she was herself did her life change completely around.

The Law of Influence

Your influence is determined by

how abundantly you place other people’s interests first.

This law is an amazing way to help others and help yourself at the same time. But also takes alot to improve yourself to practice this in life.

See once you learn to look after other peoples needs before your need and not to expect to have the same in return. Things will really start to happen for you.

In the book Sam talks about forgetting the fifty-fifty proposition that it is a losing proposition. You need to give 100% and make your win about the other person.

The Law of Compensation

Your income is determined by

how many people you serve and how well you serve them.

This law is one that is well explained by Joe when he is first introduced to the law by Pindar and Nicole. When Joe says ”he thought it was unfair that movie stars, top athletes pulled down those huge salaries. Or how CEOs and corporate founders could marshal such gigantic earnings.”

This law is not about really how many people and the value but the impact you have on these people. So this way you have control of your compensation level.

The Law of Value

Your true worth is determined by

how much more you give in value than you take in payment.

As I said in my post with the interview with Bob Burg, the co-author of The Go-Giver, I will be continuing on writing about each one of the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success.

I am going to go into depth of what it really means so you can understand it better.

In the book Ernesto talks about how he makes his little hot dog stand into this empire of Restaurants. Pindar explains how Ernesto would remember special details of each of his customers who would come to his hot dog stand. He made them feel very special and who does not want to feel special and appreciated.

He created this respect for each one of his customer and what happened is that each of these customers passed on the word about his business. Which made his hot dog stand keep growing and growing and it just kept expanding until……

I recently read The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann and I have been recommending it toBob Burg everyone. This book has changed my outlook on life and network marketing, and I want everyone I know and meet to have the same experience and knowledge to help towards their success.

As I said in my post on June 6th, 2008, The Go-Giver will discuss the “Five Laws of Stratospheric Success.”

On July 3rd, 2008, I interviewed Bob Burg about this amazing book. This is the first interview I have ever done and I would like to share it with everyone. It is very powerful information that everyone can learn from. It is about giving and I have said in the past it is about giving back. But Bob Burg corrected me on that. This is a must read book, “The Go-Giver, by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It was suggested to me by one of my mentors who does a lot of personal growth and has taught me to do the same.

The Go-Giver Cover

It is a small book, only 127 pages and it is well worth the money and the time to read it.

Have you heard “give and you shall receive”. That is what this book is all about. This book explains 5 simple principles that will help each of us reach or goals and dreams. The 5 principles are listed and described below.

Once you start reading it you will not want to put it down till you have finished the whole book. So make sure you have the time to read it.

  • 1. The Law of Value - Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment. (this part is very hard for lots of people to understand to give without expecting to receive back)
